Splashes of Color

It’s truly a remarkable world. And it's remarkable how often that we forget that.

Look around you. What do you see? Splashes of color, graceful form, and life. It's beyond comprehension how much beauty and joy God has sparked into our little lives. True, we are affected by the Fall, and that has dulled some of the grandeur.  But think of it this way: If the world is so beautiful today, how much better must it have been in its perfection! And how beautiful shall our heavenly home be?

Whilst looking out my window this morning, I was inspired to write a set of haiku poems. (True, they aren't following many of the complicated Japanese rules; they are just in five-seven-five form!)

Splashes of color,

Grace the outside world beyond;

Painted by His hands.

The greens of living,

The blues of both sky and sea;

Fringes of cloud-white.

This world sings His love;

In its ways of nature found

A way to love Him.

I hope you have a blessed rest of your day.
