Super Smash Bros: Favorite Characters

Today I would like to post about my top ten favorite Super Smash Bros. characters. If you haven't played this game, its main goal is to pick a Nintendo character, fight other Nintendo characters, and then KO them (i.e. knock them off the screen). Honestly, though, the game is a lot more fun to play than it sounds; there are a lot of complicated factors that really make the game interesting. So, without further ado, I present my top ten favorite characters spanning the series of four games: 1. Zelda Of all the characters I have experimented and played with, my favorite remains Zelda, Princess of Hyrule. I remember playing as her years ago on our Gamecube, and I have stuck to using her almost ever since. Zelda uses powerful, ethereal attacks that appear to be made of light! In Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Gamecube, Zelda first appears as a fair-haired, eloquent figure. However, in Super Smash Bros Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U, her design was (in my hum

Nostalgia of the Clouds

Image
I love watching the clouds glide through the sky. And I love looking at the sky itself. Isn't it such a soothing blue? I think God picked the perfect color scheme for our world. Yet at the same time, I love hearing thunder and watching lightning spark in the sky. Don't you just love it at night during a rainstorm? Snuggling up under the covers and falling asleep listening to the steady rhythm of rain meeting your roof (especially if it's a tin roof).  As a little child, I remember swinging and gazing upwards at the clouds. I always wished that I could fly there and play on them (lol, I still do!)  I also remember being afraid of clouds sometimes. Like the time a tornado warning was issued for our city. I remember how scary it was. Thankfully, the tornado never hit us. Definitely God's providence over my family! Another happy memory involving clouds was the time that I flew across the Great Plains to Colorado in an airplane. Looking down at the cloud

Hoar-Frost Yet Aiding

Today I wanted to share some more of my haiku poetry with you. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Hoar-frost yet aiding In the silent slumber they, Entombed, yet endure. The twilight falling, Shrouds those who have gone before, Swiftly to their fates. Heartbeats set in stone, Lips never again to part,  Eyes bleary gazing. The meaning of the poetry is rather complicated (basically it's a scene from a story I am writing); I have hidden some double meanings within it. Feel free to comment below if you would like to share some of your own poetry that you have written; I would love to read it! :)

Splashes of Color

It’s truly a remarkable world. And it's remarkable how often that we forget that. Look around you. What do you see? Splashes of color, graceful form, and life. It's beyond  comprehension how much beauty and joy God has sparked into our little lives. True, we are affected by the Fall, and that has dulled some of the grandeur.   But think of it this way: If the world is so beautiful today, how much better must it have been in its perfection! And how beautiful shall our heavenly home be? Whilst looking out my window this morning, I was inspired to write a set of haiku poems. (True, they aren't following many of the complicated Japanese rules; they are just in five-seven-five form!) Splashes of color, Grace the outside world beyond; Painted by His hands. The greens of living, The blues of both sky and sea; Fringes of cloud-white. This world sings His love; In its ways of nature found A way to love Him. I hope you ha

The New Blogger on the Street

Hello all! I’m Joseph, and I’m so excited to be here! I hope that you all will enjoy this blog just as much as I am! Just as the title says, I am the new kid on the block, and I am  very excited about a fresh, crisp start to my virtual home. Me, Myself, and I: I am a fourteen-year-old ESFP that loves to compose music, specifically in a neo-romantic style, though I also dabble in other types. I also enjoy writing, dreaming, and the occasional nostalgic moments I encounter. But before I tell anything else about myself, I must first mention the most important thing about my life: Jesus Christ, my Savior and my King. He loves me, the sinful creature I am, and, someday, he will take me home. Other facts about me include: 1. My favorite colors are: jade green, light blue, grey, brown, and the like; I love earth colors ! 2.  I enjoy video-games, especially the Legend of Zelda series (the emotion!), Super Smash Bros (MELEE ALL THE WAY), Clash of Clans, etc… the l
